My name is Sofia Reddy. I’m a mom and clinical social worker on a mission to help ambitious teens and adults overcome stress and overwhelm with mindful self-care.

As an ambitious person you might be feeling a lot of pressure to accomplish your goals. You might feel like there is never enough time in the day and so you aren’t able to get enough sleep. You might be feeling tired and moody on a regular basis. Perhaps you are having difficulty keeping up with life’s daily demands or there’s increased tension in your relationships.

Stress is part of life and not all stress is bad, but it can get toxic. Good stress motivates you to take action and helps build resilience. Toxic stress on the other hand is a result of ongoing tension in your life that negatively impacts your mood, sleep, and overall well-being. Mindful self-care can help you access your inner resilience to work through the stresses of daily life.

With mindful self-care coaching you will learn to recognize where to put your energy so you can stop spinning the wheels of frustration and overwhelm and start feeling empowered to create the life you desire. You start to notice the power you have within you to accomplish your goals and feel energized instead of depleted by them. You stop stressing, and start flourishing!

Personally, I’ve been practicing mindfulness to help me manage my own stress. I started Sofia’s Sanctuary in 2011 after feeling overwhelmed and depleted during a very stressful time in my life. After attending a caregiver retreat I was inspired to start my own mindfulness practice and start teaching it to others. I’ve been trained in mindfulness based cognitive behavioral techniques and have been using these skills with my clients and in my own life.

For the last 15 years I’ve been working with clients in mental health programs in the private and public sectors. I’ve coached individuals and couples going through difficult transitions – divorce, illness, loss – and individuals looking to heal from past painful experiences – from combat deployment to childhood abuse or other stressful life experiences. My approach is personable, compassionate, holistic and person centered. If you would like more information about my credentials and work history visit:
